How we decide what to publish — and what not to.
The cannabis industry already has enough boosterism. We operate under standards borrowed from SPJ and the Reuters trust principles.
Accuracy
Every factual claim is sourced. Data points are linked to their origin. Corrections are noted at the top of the article with a timestamp, never stealth-edited.
Independence
Sponsors and advertisers have no influence over editorial decisions. Sponsored content is clearly marked "Partner" or "Paid" in both the byline and the layout. Our reporters do not own equity in companies they cover.
Sourcing
On-the-record is the default. On-background attribution is used only when the source faces material professional risk. We do not publish claims that cannot be independently verified.

Email corrections@cannabis.inc with the URL, the specific claim, and supporting evidence. We respond within two business days.
